1^st Luton Sea Scouts

The Cub section of the group caters for boys between the ages of 8 and 10½.  They meet once a week on a Tuesday night at our Headquarters during the winter months, and at our Boating Station during the summer months.

They win again

 

On Saturday 24^th March 7 boys in the cub pack competed in the annual Icknield District Competition. The competition tests the boy’s abilities in ‘traditional scouting skills’ such as knotting, tracking, first aid, the country code, law and promise, jungle book and the history of scouting among other subjects. They are also closely inspected making sure their uniforms are perfect and they have all the bits and bobs a good Cub Scout should have with them! Needless to say they looked the smartest by far!!

 

We have been entering the competition since 1990 and the cubs have now won the trophy a total of 14 times. This year made 10 years in a row, which is an amazing achievement!

 

Congratulations to leaders and boys alike for such a brilliant win, it’s well deserved after all your hard work!
